Dutchie Plus - Launching a New Location

Modified on Wed, 18 Jun at 12:08 PM

Follow these steps to add a new Dutchie Plus location to your website

Checkout URL Setup

  1. Contact your Dutchie account rep to start the process for creating a new Checkout URL for the location
  2. They will ask you to create a new CNAME record with your domain registrar
    • Record Type: CNAME
    • Record Name: {city}-checkout (replace {city} with the city of your new location)
    • Record Value: connect.dutchiemenus.com
  3. Once that is done, let Dutchie know so they can confirm everything is ready on their end

Sync new location to website

Once Dutchie has added your new location to your Plus setup, you will need to sync it to your website to create the location page and begin syncing products for the new location

We automatically sync new locations to the website once per day, but if you'd like to force a sync on your website go to Dashboard -> CP Ecomm and click "Sync Retailers"

The location will now be available as a draft under Dashboard -> Retailers. Edit the draft and make sure all of the contact data on the edit screen is correct. The contact info, address and hours are synced from Dutchie Admin, so if those need to be updated then update them in Dutchie Admin first and click the Sync Retailers button under CP Ecomm again to sync the changes.

Edit and build location page content

When creating the content for your new location, you can review the edit screen for an existing location to use it as a guide. The areas you will want to account for on the new location are:

  • Title
  • Permalink
  • Featured Image
  • Directions URL
  • Page Builder*
  • Hours Summary
  • Location Groups (if applicable, sometimes used for the age gate location selector)

*You can copy Page Builder modules from existing locations using the Copy and Paste feature if you'd like an easy starting place for populating content for the new location.

Launch the new location page

On the day of launch, you can publish the draft to make the new location visible on the frontend of the website. After publishing the location, hover over WP Rocket at the top right of the screen and click Clear Cache.

Test the new location by selecting it from the location selector on the frontend of your website and browsing the Shop page. Add products to your cart and go to the checkout page to make sure checkout is working properly through Dutchie.
