Reconnecting or Validating Instagram Accounts in Smash Balloon Instagram Feed Plugin

If your Instagram feed has stopped displaying correctly, you may need to revalidate or reconnect your Instagram account with the Smash Balloon Instagram Feed plugin in WordPress. Follow the steps below.

Step 1: Access Plugin Settings

1. Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.

2. In the left-hand menu, hover over Instagram Feed.

3. Click Settings.

Step 2: Prepare Your Instagram Account

• Make sure you are logged in to the correct Instagram account in a separate browser tab before reconnecting.

• If you manage multiple Instagram accounts, double-check that you are logged in to the one you want to connect.

Step 3: Reconnect or Add a Source

1. In the plugin settings, you’ll see your connected Instagram account(s).

2. Click Reconnect if you’re refreshing an existing connection.

• This is usually the best option if the feed was working before and simply needs to be re-authorized.

3. Click Add Source if you need to connect a new Instagram account.

• You will be redirected to Instagram to log in and grant access.

• Follow the on-screen prompts to authorize the connection.

Step 4: Confirm the Connection

• Once connected, you should see your Instagram account listed under Maage Sources.

• Smash Balloon will display a green checkmark or confirmation message when the account is successfully linked.

• Visit your site’s front end and refresh the page to confirm the feed is loading.
